Such a fantastic taste of paradise. Everything at subtropica is done with love and skill. The breakfasts are superb, the pool is crystal clean and perfect temperature, the grounds are gorgeous with healthy beautiful plants growing everywhere. We were lucky enough to meet the owner Antonio, who helped us fulfill all our plans in mindo! Thank you!

An extraordinary place :-) If you ever wanted to sleep in a tree house, this is your chance. Of course it's narrow, somewhat dirty and full of insects, but it's an unforgettable adventure. Further you are going to see many birds, especially colibris, inside the lodge area.

The nature and the surroundings are beautiful. Great breakfast and helpful staff, they are so nice and welcoming. Just enjoy their beautiful garden with a cup of coffee in the morning. Super clean rooms with the best showers I've had in ecuador. You will get good nights of sleep because it's so quiet at night. There is so much to do around mindo real. My favorite was the feeding of the colibris. You can do it yourself while they eat out of your hand. And I loved the hiking trails of the yellow house. I liked it so much that I returned a week later to spend another 4 days in mindo real.
