It was such a lovely experience to be sleeping in a castle! Only stayed for one night, but enjoyed spending time reading in the common dining room and outside in the garden. The entry hall gives you the impression of being in a museum. The room was very clean. Parking is available on the grounds, but also 2 minutes away on the street. The village is also a nice place to visit, cafes, bakeries and restaurants are only a 10minute walk away.

Amazing stay - everything exceeded expectations! The room was big and beautiful with old charm. Everything up to the smallest details were in place: bathrobes, port wine in glass bottle with beautiful glasses etc

Evelixx Pods in Dornoch were absolutely incredible—the best pods we’ve stayed in across Scotland! Each pod is equipped with a handy kitchenette and a bathroom complete with a shower. Plus, they provide full bedding and towels, which isn’t the norm for most pods. As international travelers, this made our trip so much easier and more affordable, especially since some places charge a fortune for bedding and towels for a family of four. Mary, our host, was truly wonderful—so friendly and helpful in every way. The kids had an absolute blast playing football on the massive field right in front of the pods, and they loved the Highland games in Dornoch too. We’re already planning our return, and next time, we’re definitely staying longer than just two nights. We wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Beautiful cottage in amazing surroundings. We could not ask for more, the cottage had everything and more. Lorna and Jim the owners made us very welcome and were so friendly, very approachable if there was a problem. We did not have any problems just the opposite. We are definitely going back.
