We enjoyed three wonderful relaxing days at Bank House, in a spacious, spotlessly clean room with private lounge and bathroom. Our hosts Mark and Trish spoiled us with delicious breakfasts, lots of helpful tips on where to go, great conversations and a wonderful sense of humour. The area offers so much more than one would think at first glance (Castletown Beach, Dunnet Head, Castle of Mey, John o' Groats, Duncansby Stacks ...).

Very modern, comfortable and clean. Great shower temperature and pressure. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They squeezed us in for dinner with no reservation even though it was very busy. Quality of food was excellent at a reasonable price. Parking was plentiful.

The last hotel on the A9, The Ferry Inn at Scrabster is newly renovated and has wonderful sea views. Just north of Thurso, Scrabster Harbour is the gateway to the Orkney Islands.

We booked a twin but there were no twins available on arrival so the staff just gave us seperate rooms, absolutely hassle free, no extra charge and extremely client friendly. They wanted to ensure we were comfortable and happy. It was genuine. Great people

Very friendly and welcoming staff. You can have your dinner with a traditional meal. There's also a lively bar with a nice atmosphere. The breakfast is traditional. Thanks very much for your hospitality

We had an amazing stay at Hawthorns b&b. The hosts made us and our dogs feel super welcome. They gave us a lot of tips for sightseeing and made nice conversation. The room, bed, and shower were very good as well. We had a beautiful view of the fields from our room, and in the morning, we had a great homemade breakfast. We would definitely come back! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Located along the north coast, it’s a great spot for exploring. There’s a very personal touch with this hotel, and we were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was cooked to perfection, as was the evening meal. We sat in the lounge in front of the fire in the afternoon and enjoyed the ambiance of a very tastefully decorated room.
