Excellent customer service where staff are attentive to your needs at all time. Even offered a new set of yukata when they noticed ours were slightly wet due to slight rain. Onsen was clean, well maintained and not crowded.

It was an exceptional cultural experience in an authentic Japanese place. The hotel offers rooms in a traditional style, while we also enjoyed wearing national yukata dresses and taking onsen baths, which are included. We have heard a lot about excellent Japanese service and now we indeed experienced it. The personnel approaches each customer with personal touch and satisfies individual needs. Overall ,We had a very pleasant stay.The hotel was clean, comfortable and well-located. The staff were friendly and helpful throghout our visit.The owner was super nice and pick us up and drop us off personally. The breafast was delicious and exceeded my expectations .I especially enjoyed the freshly salad and seasonal vegetables.The coffee was excellent too.A great way to start the day. The onsen was amazing.

Shiroganeya is a traditional Japanese minshuku. Our host Maki-san was truly exceptional. She made sure our family of 6 were well-fed, well-rested, and well-prepared for our little hike to the main Togakushi shrine, which is a 7-min drive away. The dinner prepared for us was superb as well - at least 7-courses! I liked that the house itself has a lot of history. Dinner is served with precious chinaware that are more than a century-old, but still in very good shape and colour. There is adequate heating throughout the house, especially important for a cold winter stay. Maki-san also had a stash of toy cars and trains that kept our boy occupied. There’s just so much to rave about this place. Hopefully we’ll be back for a second visit!
