Our room had two outdoor onsens which was well maintained and clean. Room is a little dated but still clean. As we had a half board package, daily breakfast and dinner were included. Food was superb with a hearty Japanese breakfast and dinner was shabu shabu on the first night and bbq on the second. Service was top notched. We had a nice Nepalese lady looking after us. We had a private room for all our meals and were very well looked after. Lastly, the staff took our photo and printed it out for us for keepsake upon check out. Nice gesture. I had an extra photo taken with the owner's little brown poodle Hazel. :)

Room was super clean and modern and felt very luxurious. Free beer in the lobby was awesome. Good location close to everything in Kannawa. On-site onsens were really nice. Staff was great.

Oniyama Hotel features a hot spring bath and a 24-hour front desk with free luggage storage service. Beppu Station is 16 minutes by car from Oniyama Hotel. Everything!! This was my second trip to Beppu after 8 years and I've decided to stay in Kannawa and it was the best choice ever. I'd say that the highlight of this hotel was the staff. They were just incredibly friendly and lovely. Everyone was smiling genuinely and was just super nice and helpful. The location was absolutely perfect too, right next to the main hells and 5min from the bus station (I took a taxi though coz of heavy luggage). Taxi ride to the station was pretty cheap anyway and I'd recommend it to the bus ( only about $7). Room was very spacious and had nice view over the mountains and I got to watch a sunset too!! They also have 3 private onsens which is bonus but the public one are really good and I love it. Thank you so much for the lovely stay! Oh and there was this lady that was looking after the floor and she was super cute and lovely too!

Featuring mountain views, hokkein-onsen kougen-terrace is situated in Kokonoe and offers a wellness area with a hot spring bath and a public bath. Big rooms. The breakfast and dinner were both great and affordable. They even had a string quartet playing over dinner which was cool.

The owner, who is very friendly, as is all staff actually. In the middle of the charming old town of Hita, a relatively unknown gem. Make sure to book dinner, which is served in an adjacent restaurant, which belongs to the hotel. Amazing standard of cooking, Japanese with some international influences. The breakfast, served in the hotel, is Japanese and excellent as well. Our room had a private bath and shower. On top of that, there are two Onsen in the hotel as well, who can be reserved for private use by the hotel guests. Free parking right in front of the hotel.
