Good hotel outside the city center with parking space restaurant and bar. The room is big and confortable with a lot of space and a big bath. Continental breakfast perfect and we try also the buffet dinner very good. Staff kind and helpfull. Swimming pool open until late evening and also gym zone.

A recently renovated campground located in Bidiyah, Al Salam Desert Camp Bidiya features a shared lounge. A well organised camp. The tent is big, clean, comfortable and there's everything you need inside. Dinner was really delicious and the breakfast was good enough. You don't need a 4x4 to reach the camp. Dune bashing was great. Special thanks to Zahar. High quality with a fair price!

Arabian Nights Resort & Spa features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a terrace and bar in Shāhiq. The resort offers both free WiFi and free private parking. They were very friendly during check-in. Separate from the resort, I had hired a private driver who attempted to extort me. Luckily I escaped the situation and a driver from the resort picked me up. Still, the driver continued to contact me asking for money and threatening to call the police. He even called the hotel several times. After explaining the situation the hotel staff were very understanding and helped to ward him off. Long story short, the staff will make you feel safe here! Anyway, they offer a range of fun cultural and physical activities to try. I did the Bedouin house tour, Sunset drive, Sand Boarding (highly recommend, good fun), and Camel ride. The food at the restaurant is good and portions are generous. The pool was nice and I wish I used it more.
