Once inside the building it was so beautiful and serene. Our apartment was on its own floor. Couldn't have asked for a better accommodation. The kitchen and living area were perfect and our rooms were amazing. The shower was beyond impressive with a rainfall shower head and fantastic water pressure. The owner was right there at the door when we arrived after midnight! I travel solo, but arrived with a young woman that hadn't booked any accommodation for her midnight arrival in Guayaquil. But luckily (though otherwise fully booked) he found her a room for the night. Rooms are HUGE, w/ excellent air con and wifi; and always super-quiet as they all face the inside swimming pool.
