The location was perfect. Really close to the castle and train station. The staff is so helpful and tries to make your stay better! They give you lots of tips and advice to discover Matsumoto and surrounding area. We were interested on visiting Shirakawa-go but finally couldn’t go. The hotel staff prepared the bus info to get there. Really helpful, thanks!:)

Probably our best ever hotel experience, right from check in where you’re greeted with coffee and sweet treats, all the way to the dinner which was exceptional! The private onsen in the balcony with views of the mountains was a highlight.

Excellent traditional ryokan run by a family for 4 generations. As a guest you are cared for with great attention even if you do not speak perfect Japanese. The most amazing and delicious dinner and rice wine we had in Japan, all cooked by the owner's family and carefully served. Even Madame owner came to greet us personally at the dinner. The rooms are neat, in traditional Japanese style with futons and excellent tea. The owner gave us a ride to the train station when we were leaving and we had a pleasant chat. Thank you for this memorable experience.

    Extremely friendly and helpful host family! They gave so many great recommendations for the area. The property was spotless, and the onsen was available to book for private use for 30mins, which was great. Free use of bikes and umbrellas was much appreciated during our stay. Free parking on site also, which was hard to find in the area at other accommodations.

    Nice alpine style lodge in a lovely setting. There is separate kitchen and living area in the accommodation we stayed. The space is comfortable and right next to Norikura Kogen and the Norikura Kogen Onsen. There is also rock climbing wall available for use, which the children really enjoyed. Staff is friendly and helpful.

    We loved our stay at Ryokan Seifuso - one of the best places we stayed during three weeks in Japan. Very comfortable Japenese style accomodation, with bikes to ride and a delicious breakfast. We also found our favourite restaurant of the trip nearby - a local ramen and fried chicken place - Kawashiyo.

    We like the tatami floors everywhere including the hallways and the elevator. We like everything. Best accommodation we stayed in Japan. Relaxing. Good value. And also the complementary hot/cold drinks, yakult in the morning, soba in the evening, and ice block/ ice cream on stick after the hot bath was lovely. Really nice view and facillities we’ll come back again. Very friendly staff too. Thank you! We enjoyed our stay 😊❤️

    A cheap accommodation where you get what you pay for. A very basic room but it was clean which is the most important thing and perfectly fine to stay for a couple of nights. The hotel is in a very good location close to the castle and a 15 minute walk to the train station. If you are on a travelling holiday it is perfect because you are spending such little time in the room and get cheap but comfortable accommodation!
