The resort is placed right on the beach and it’s possible to trek through the jungle to get to other parts. There’s plenty of hammocks to relax in, beach volley, boat trips and even microphones ready for a karaoke night! The food was also nice, a little expensive but you’re on a remote island so it’s to be expected. It doesn’t rely solely on backpacking volunteers but employs Khmer staff who are all lovely. Food here is the cheapest on the island, drinks are cheap, great happy hour at 3 every day. Max is a really great host and looks out for everyone. You can stray out for a drink or a swim at the other places on the island but it always felt like home coming back to last point in the evening.
