Wonderful host - she let us drop off our luggage early, had it carried up the stairs to our room, checked in with us to see if we needed anything and helped greatly by booking a taxi to the airport on short notice when we were confronted with a train strike. Lovely, spacious and bright room. Very comfortable for our group of 3. We appreciated the lovely bottle of wine left for us.

My wife & I take 5-6 breaks a year in apartments booked with Booking.com, airbnbn etc. This apartment is probably the best that we have ever stayed in. It is in a great location, around 5 minutes walk from the railway station and close to restaurants, supermarkets etc, including an excellent Thai restaurant (called Sisaket) around 3 minutes walk away. It is in a picturesque row of houses, facing a lovely canal & a working windmill. Everything was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable & tastefully decorated & furnished. The owner has clearly gone to a great deal of effort to ensure that guests have as positive an experience as possible. There is a folder inside the apartment which has comprehensive useful information & so there was little need to contact the owner during our stay. On the one occasion that I did, she replied very quickly with an answer to my question. When visiting Leiden in the future, if this apartment is available at the time, It will very definitely be our preferred option.

    The apartment was super conveniently located 5 minutes from the station and from the shops and restaurants. It was clean, comfortable and had all the facilities needed for a short, or longer, stay. I’ve stayed in Leiden a handful of times and this was the best accommodation we’ve had, by far.

    I new that Nieuw Minerva would provide what I was after - an uncomplicated accommodation close to th city centre. It was resonably quiet and the room had everything I needed. There is little space and I would not recommend my room for an extended stay but for one night it was fine.

    The hotel is not only very well equipped, it’s also lovely designed. It’s perfectly located for everyone who would like to explore the Netherlands by bike. I would like to further highlight that the staff of the hotel is very polite, forthcoming and helpful. We had a wonderful stay at the Breathe Leiden and would definitely recommend this accommodation. There is absolutely nothing to complain about.
