Amazing location across from the beach in a quieter part of town, but a very easy walk or short tuk tuk ride to the bars and restaurants in town. The staff was top notch, rooms were comfortable and well maintained w AC and the food was great. Couldn't recommend any higher. Best place to stay in Puerto Lopez by far and the staff couldn't be any friendlier or more hospitable

There was an issue with the TV that couldn't be fixed during our stay, which prompted an invitation to a drink with the hosts. The on-site pool is sizeable. The hosts have put a great deal of effort into creating the feel of a rustic yet luxurious tropical cabin and have succceeded admirably.

At the bed and breakfast, units include a desk, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. The units have air conditioning, and some units at the bed and breakfast have a balcony. All units have a wardrobe. Great hotel located a 3 minute walk to the center of everything. It was great to be close to everything but not right in the middle of all the super loud music. Beds are super comfortable, the wifi worked great (which was a pleasant surprise) and the breakfasts are delicious. The shower also had BOTH hot water and pressure.

There are alot of places to stay around the world, and most of them are in it for the money - but not this one. I had no real desire to go to Las Tunas, but after backpacking around Ecuador and Peru for a while, all of the favorite people I met on the road seemed to have the exact same recommendation: Go to Onda Hostel. So I texted the hostel owners on Whatsapp, where they proceeded to be somehow genuinely interested in answering my millions of questions over text before I arrived, arranging for transport, and even picking me up a massive guanabana just because I casually mentioned once I'd like to try it. The beds are comfortable, the A/C is cool, and the coffee is endless, but it's truly the people that make this place great. The owners are passionate about building a community and they instill that same stoke in their volunteers. If you're looking to stay in a place with some atmosphere, there is none greater in the Americas. I booked at this hostel for two days and stayed on for weeks, only leaving because I had to. To my new friends that I've made at Las Tunas - Thank you, and I'll be back soon!
