The location is also good as it's only a short walk from the boat dock. The WiFi worked well in the room and the room was exactly what you see in their pictures. There is self service on drinks and you can also order food which they get you from outside. They also have a laundry service. Strongly recommended!

Guests can request to arrange for pick-up service form the airport to the hotel for a charge, by using the hotel’s contact details in the confirmation e-mail received. Customer relations lady provided excellent service. She was attentive and made every effort to me us comfortable. The location, building, decor very pretty and lots of potential to be very very great but some things were a letdown. The shower didn't drain properly and the buffet dinner was cold. Breakfast wasn't very good either.

We had such an amazing stay at JJ’s. We originally booked for three days but ended up extending for another three because we loved it so much. JJ and his family/staff are all very kind and friendly — they made us feel so at home in their beautiful slice of the world. Elephantine Island is very relaxed and has a lovely local feel (a very nice change from Aswan city and the rest of Egypt!). That said, you’re only a two-minute ferry from the mainland which was super easy and we went in most nights for dinner. We booked a tour to Abu Simbel through JJ which saved us from having to think about logistics of getting there ourselves 🙌🏼 we ended up being the first group there for the day so got some amazing photos and we’re back in the guesthouse by 1pm. Also the included breakfast was incredibly generous. Everyday we had fresh juice, eggs, bread, salad, cheese, fruit salad, jam & honey. Honestly amazing value and cooked with love. Plus the view from the rooftop (where breakfast is served) is beautiful, looking over the Nile. Our room also had an amazing view of the river. Honestly I can’t rave enough about this place. We feel so happy to have stumbled upon JJ Guesthouse and are leaving with some very special memories ✨🩷

With city views, this accommodation provides a balcony. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. We can highly recommend this place. It is very clean and comfortable, new furniture and fresh finishes. Large enough room and a separate common space with a sofa. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is also good. The hosts are very nice and customer-oriented people. The rooftop is very nice for breakfast and just spending time with a cup of coffee. The location is good, 5 minutes from the pier. If you want a break from the Egyptian noise, I definitely recommend you to stay on Elephantine Island in this gesthouse.

It was the best place we stayed in our whole trip in Egypt! Everything was new and clean, AC worked great, breakfast was delicious and the host was super helpful. I can’t recommend it enough!

Featuring a terrace, Dolty Kato Nubian House By Kato Dool is set in Aswan in the Dhofar region, 18 km from Aga Khan Mausoleum and 11 km from Nubian Museum. Featuring a shared lounge, this 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, a concierge service and currency exchange for guests. The hotel itself is very charming in an interesting location, heart of Nubian village, river front. The room was comfy and very clean, exactly like in the photos. We felt very relaxed and welcomed. The room was silent good sound isolation, we’ve stayed at the last room of the hotel corridor. The restaurant was excellent, big portions, great fresh local products, exquisite cuisine. It was the best kebab we had in Egypt. It has also beautiful views to the River. First, we came from Cairo with some stomach illness and the manager of the hotel Samir and all hotel staff did everything to make us felt better, he even went to a drugstore and bought us medicine and gave us as a gift. Thank you very Samir and Hamo, restaurant manager, your sympathy and attention made all the difference. Hamo also offered us local tea for all discomfort every day and it has helped a lot. Samir booked some transfers for us, they were all good and responsible drivers. Last, we had to leave the hotel early morning for a trip and they prepared us a breakfast box, with good variety and quality products, even boiled eggs. I don’t understand why other guests complain about it. Bottom line, I loved it and totally recommend.

The hotel was just as expected—designed in a Nubian style. The rooms were distinctive, beautiful, clean, and safe. The staff were lovely and took great care of us, especially Ali, who coordinated everything and recommended various tourist spots. We were most impressed by him. Ali became like a friend and younger brother to me. We truly felt happy with the warm welcome from the owner and his daughter. Everything, including the ride and the sunset trip to Abu Simbel Temple, was wonderful. They were very kind and friendly—this place felt like a second home to us. The food was delicious, especially the omelet, which reminded us of home after being away for over seven days. Highly recommended—everything was truly excellent and won’t disappoint.
