The hotel is a 2.5-hour drive from Chiayi Railway Station. Great place to enjoy Alishan and the sunrise. The room was small but have enough space to make it comfortable. Bed was super comfortable and the staff help you with information. They also picked me up and dropped me off at the station as needed.

This homestay features free private parking, luggage storage space and free WiFi. The homestay has family rooms. The vancinity around Shizhao has become my favorite part of Taiwan. Strategically its a great pivot points between Alishan and Fengqihu (separate day trips), and personally, Shizhao has became the better experience within its own right. Our host Mr. Xue drove us to see fireflies nearby at night. He also drove us to nearby attractions to make the most of our day. He was also so kind to explain tea harvesting and brewing process while we enjoyed the tea he brewed. Our room was huge, equipped with its own tea set. Waking up and starting each day amongst a tea field is a real treat and the aroma of tea permeates though the town. There are great looped trails nearby transecting through multiple tea farms and bamboo forests, look for the Shizhao trail systems, some of my favorite includes the mist, cloud, and sunset trail.
