We were warmly welcomed by lovely hosts upon our arrival. The house was not only charming but also impeccably clean, providing a perfect retreat for our stay. The housekeeper is a remarkable woman who greeted us with a delightful assortment of fresh and dried fruits, tea, and sweets, which made us feel instantly at home. She kindly guided us to the local bazaar, where we enjoyed shopping for delicious dried fruits and homemade jams. Her hospitality truly enhanced our experience. Additionally, her husband organized a sightseeing tour around Nakchivan and within the city, offering us great value for the fantastic experience. The house itself was exceptionally quiet and pristine—even more beautiful than the photographs suggested. Its location is ideal, as we were able to stroll easily to the city center, immersing ourselves in the local culture and attractions. We highly recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for a cozy and enjoyable stay in Nakchivan!

Exceptional house in the village of Gomk, a hikers and nature paradise. Hayk and Ani renovated their old family house in the countryside and converted it into a little paradise. It's immaculately clean, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and super comfortable and relaxing. From Booking's website, we didn't understand very well how it worked but basically, once you book a room, you will have the whole house to yourself (we booked the twin with a shared bathroom but upon our arrival, we opted for the double room). The 'shared bathroom' is only to indicate that the bathroom is not attached, but since you are the only one in the house, it's yours. There's a fully equipped kitchen, a gorgeous sitting and dining room, a nice terrace with a beautiful view, and if you wish, you can light the BBQ or make a fire in the firepit in the garden. The kitchen has basic essentials (and Ani told us that we could use all items in the fridge, which was extremely kind since there was cheese, butter, tomatoes, cucumber, etc) and you can either bring your own food for dinner /breakfast (no shop or restaurant in town) or go for the very nice and delicious option of ordering food at Hayk and Ani's restaurant in Vayk called Luna (ask if they can send you the menu ahead of time so they have time to prepare it. For an extra fee, they can deliver it as well). The food we ordered was superb: tolmas, pork and lamb BBQ, grilled vegetables, and salad. Plenty and super delicious. Ani was so kind to put in a bottle of their yummy homemade fruit juice as well. Both Hayk and Ani speak excellent English, are very kind and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you could wish for. We hiked both the Kapuyt loop trail and the Berdakar mountain loop and loved them both. Lu-Na home is more than highly recommended, good luck Hayk and Ani and thank you for everything!

Gnishik Eco Resort is situated in Gnishik and offers a garden and barbecue facilities. The property has mountain and garden views. Mariam was the star of this stay. A wonderful host that shared so much precious insight on Armenian culture, history and traditions. We chatted forever! The property is secluded and quiet which is exactly what we needed. There are a couple of rough patches driving up and the last few meters before the property is a dirt road but don’t let anyone scare you because it’s very easy to reach even with a very low clearance car as our rental. The food prepared for us for both dinner and breakfast was simply amazing. Tasty and earthy and home grown. Too bad we stayed only one night.

Featuring a terrace and a shared lounge, Gnishik Eco Lodge is set in Gnishik. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Gnishik is literally right at the end of the road, you can go no further, but the Eco Lodge certainly makes the journey worthwhile. The gent who let us in and gave us the keys was very pleasant and helpful and communication before arrival was excellent. It was made clear that the location was remote and that we would have to bring our food and drink with us. This was fine and the shared kitchen was very well equipped. We had a lovely en suite room upstairs with wonderful views from our balcony, especially of the beautiful rose garden in the back garden. We were also lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. There was a problem with the WiFi in the early evening, but it was quickly resolved and worked very well for us after that; not good enough to stream, but perfectly well for browsing, emails, etc. We parked in the drive in front of the Lodge, but there are zero security concerns. If you get the chance to visit, then we strongly suggest that you do. The drive south from Lake Sevan is truly spectacular. The last few kilometres of road were pot holed and slow going, but perfectly accessible if you drive slowly. Overall, this is a wonderful place to enjoy nature and relax and we loved our visit. Very highly recommended.
