Great stop if your wanting to visit the World Heritage Costarican Spheres. George was an excellent host, giving us loads of info regarding the various archaeological sites which were nearby. Accommodation was excellent. Huge comfy bed, huge bathroom, great kitchen and a balcony we used a lot watching the Macaws in the trees overlooking a beautiful valley. Accomm can comfortably fit 4. Valles of OSA is on top of a hill with a driveway about 30m and easily negotiable in an AWD. We ended up extending our stay to 2 nights. You won’t regret staying here, the views are amazing, hospitality that was extended to us was exceptional and it was definitely value for money. We loved our stay. Do yourself a favour and don’t go past this accommodation!

Perfect stay! Great location in the middle of nature. Nothing fancy, just connection to Costa Rica beautiful nature ! Comfy beds, everything you need, waking up with birds in the middle of the garden. Heyner’s family is so nice, his wife is cooking a great breakfast and dinner. They booked the mangrove trip which was amazing and we had horseback riding with Heyner. It was a great experience . We will definitely come back!!

Situated in Palmar Norte in the Puntarenas region, La Muñequita Lodge 1 - culture & nature experience has a balcony and river views. The short answer is, You want to stay here! This beautiful little farm is run by even more beautiful people. Heynar and his wife, who he calls his Little Doll, are joyous, enthusiastic, funny, and fun. Pura Vida in abundance. The food is ample and xlnt. The surroundings they have created over 10 years have fruits galore, and they raise goats and milk cows. Lots of birds on the property. The cabins are handmade, rustic, sparse, and completely charming. My bed was very comfortable. (Note that in coastal CR your bed might just have sheets, so if you are a colder sleeper you might want to bring something to sleep in.) We didn't experience mosquitoes in March. We chose La Muñequita as a jumping off point toward Sierpe and Drake Bay, arrived late afternoon and only stayed a day, but 2 nights would have been better. An about $8-10US taxi from Palmer Norte will get you there, and a $22US taxi will get you to the boat dock after your stay. My feeling is, travel is about the human connections you make that help you see a country and how people live. La Muñequita will last in my memory as a shining example.

We stayed here on our way to drake bay and corcovado national park. It was a great spot to stop along our route. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing.
