Karin was an EXCELLENT host. Made me feel welcome from the beginning of my stay right until the end. Helped me to organise a taxi from the centre of town to the guest house when I first arrived, AND arranged transport to the airport the next morning. Even brought myself and the other guest who was staying there at the time some lovely home-made cake. This didn't feel like staying at a hotel or a guest house, it felt like staying at an aunty's house. The building is in a good location for those flying into / out of Memmingem airport, it is close enough to the airport that if you wanted to, you could walk there from the guest house. The room was large and well-lit, with a nice balcony to sit and relax. The bed was comfortable. All necessary amenities provided, in fact there were even more towels and so forth available than required. The entire building was clean and well-maintained. This was probably my best Booking experience so far, and I have been traveling for years. Next time I visit Memmingem, I would definitely be happy to stay here again.

It was a great choice for my trip to Memmingen. The place looks wonderful, is very clean, the room is very spacious and the bathroom too. The place is equipped with everything you need for a long or a short stay, it's very warm and cosy. The place is located near the rail and bus station, so it was very easy to travel where I needed to. Even so, it was really quiet. I highly recommend this place!

    Good location for people using Memmingerberg airport.

    Good location for people using Memmingerberg airport. Unfortunately there was no staff to help despite us informing them of our arrival time. We had asked that we would need a taxi to take us back to the airport at 5 a.m. but there was no one there to help us. We (two people in our mid seventies) were faced with a kilometre walk, dragging our luggage to the airport at 5 a.m. in the morning when it was cold, dark and damp. Get some staff or at least provide notices with info on things like taxis and how to get help with problems that occur.

    I only spent one night there so I can't say too much about...

    I only spent one night there so I can't say too much about the area, however within two minutes walk from the guest house there is a nice Italian restaurant where I had dinner. Trunklesberg is right next to Memmingem where there are lots of cafes and restaurants. It cost me 18 euro for a taxi from the middle of Memmingem to the guest house.

    Memmingen is a very nice smaller city and definitely worth visiting. The historic centre is only a five minute walk from the hotel or from the station/bus stop. The transport links close to the hotel are very easy to reach on foot (for train trips to Munich, for example). Overall Memmingen combines very interesting local history, very good shopping options, very good restaurants plus nice green spaces and friendly local residents.

    We in Lviv (and, more general, in Ukraine) know Memmingen...

    We in Lviv (and, more general, in Ukraine) know Memmingen mostly as the place of the airport for Wizzair flights from Ukrainian cities. However, Memmingen itself is a "German-German" city, well-preserved historical sight with a flavour of the old Germany and Bayern. After crowded and sometimes not very hospital Munich we appreciated that worm welcome we had during our short stay. I wish we could learn more about this city and I believe we will spend more time there, next time.

    Memmingen city is a gem.

    Memmingen city is a gem. It is only 15 mins drive from Memmingen airport, and the old city is within walking distance of the main bus / train station. Everything is within walking distance, and there are an excellent range of shops, cafes and theatres. Of all the places we have been to in Germany, this was our favourite!

    Memmingen is best known for the local FMM airport used by low cost carriers but most air passengers seem to directly head off to Munich or other cities rather than visit this attractive small Bavarian town. The town is a mix of modern and older buildings with an attractive central square and some old town walls still standing. It is a good place for a short overnight stay after arriving or before departing from the airport. Unfortunately FMM airport is far too small for the number of planes and passengers using it and few people whose aircraft departs from overcrowded FMM will want to return.
