Mawgan Porth is north Cornwall at its best a beautiful bay surrounded by majestic rugged cliffs. This is a great venue for the young and not so young with Atlantic waves rolling in for those who like the thrill of the surf or a walk along the coastal paths. A sandy beach completes the picture!Guest review byChristopherUnited Kingdom - 8.0

it is quite central to a few areas, such as Bedruthan Steps, Newquay, Padstow, and several other beautiful places, nice little beach in Portcorthan, and fabulous scones and cream at Berryfields camp site in Porthcothan. St Ervan was a nice quiet little place, but thats the beauty of Cornwall which is why people flock back year after year.Guest review byZulfuUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Parking is tight if you have a large car.
Parking is tight if you have a large car. The cottage is very comfortable and quiet. Plenty of outside space. Stairs are a bit steep if you are carrying a heavy case. Kitchen seems well equipped although we ate out. Not far from the town centre. There have been some changes to access roads. You now get in via Nansleden. Perinporth beach is a must. We also visited the Eden Project.Guest review byRobUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Great location providing you have your own transport, we like to explore so location is great with a lot of places, Padstow, Port Issac, St Ives, Newquay, Mother Ivy’s Bay to name a few which are a relatively short distance away.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
A lovely and interesting beach with the tide out.
A lovely and interesting beach with the tide out. Nice choice of eating places and small shops. Good surfing when the weather is suitable. The Merrymoor Inn is a good place to eat but nice snacks available from Cornish fresh and the Beach Box.Guest review byAlisonUnited Kingdom - 2.0

we could only stay one night as the property standards were well below what we were expecting from a booking .com establishment Faults included no instructions on how to operate the appliances including the gas fire and oven/grill The heater in the main bedroom was badly connected to an extension socket which is not advisable and was covered by the curtain when closed the bed only had a lightweight quilt on it after suffering this state of affairs for one night only we were forced to check into a hotel at a further cost of £120 suggest you get these faults rectified before you charge anyone else to stay there HOW DO WE GET A REFUND????Guest review bydavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely small town nice a quiet and relaxing only a 30 minute walk from Newquay so well within walking distance of abit more of lively atmosphere if that’s what you want or there is a small pub the farmers arms in the village which is lovely if you just want a relaxing night having a drink or some foodGuest review byjames - 10.0

St Columb Major is not a destination in itself - but it is a wonderful centre from which to explore the amazing Cornish coast. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants for all tastes and we would recommend the Cornish Pasties and fish and chips for lunches on the go. There is plenty to do, but having a car would be almost essential.Guest review byBillUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The beach was perfect for walking the pooches and taking in the surf. There is plenty of places to grab a coffee or bite to eat and a supermarket to pick up necessities. There is also a cliff coastal walk.Guest review byBarbaraUnited Kingdom
