The place was small but well decorated, very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. An outside garden area was fenced off for privacy and had loungers, table and chairs, and a barbecue for our use and the host couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

The Gallafield looks good on the website, but is even better in reality. The living area with its high ceiling and its windows feels spacious and light. Four people would easily be comfortable; for the two of us it was perfect. The property is very clean, has lots of storage space, good sized beds, plenty of kitchen equipment and two excellent showers. The location was ideal for us - just outside the centre of Stornoway and it was easy to communicate with Rhona, our host. We stayed there for a week and were sorry to leave.

Having our own bedrooms and a kitchen for a few days while we explored the island was just superb. We had everything we could have needed for our stay. Beds are extremely comfortable, and everything was very clean.
