Hotels near Mykonos Airport - JMK, Mýkonos City

Tourlos is certainly a less expensive alternative to Mykonos Old Town---as a hotel location---while proving easy and inexpensive access (€2/passenger with the Sea Bus) to the Mykonos Old Town. The island of Mykonos is ,however,---as a preferred party island for especially the younger visitors---not my preferred Greek Island, for exploring historic sites or even enjoying places with a unique volcanic history and topography (like Santorini)....

Beautiful sea, nice beach... But a little isolated and few services, there are better beach resorts with much more to do and much more choices on where to go for lunck or to drink something, check Platis Gialos but if You get there don't go to "DK OYSTER" they are scammer and they will steal your money! Check reviews! All the other places are ok...

Mykonos City has lots of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants within a small area so it is easy to find everything you need without needing additional transport. We took a trip to Delos and there were other excursions/boat trips we could have gone on. We hired a quad bike and spent a couple of days visiting the beaches around the island but it was possible to get around by bus too. Cabs are pretty pricey compared to the UK. It was 40 euros to go 5 mins from the airport so best to book that from UK beforehand. We got an Uber on the way back which was a bit cheaper. Mykonos is more expensive than some of the other Greek Islands but there are many good, reasonably priced tavernas where you can buy souvlaki/gyros. We also ate at D’Angelos, Georgia’s Garden and Rustic Grill - 10-15 euros for a main course. A cappuccino is 3 or 4 euros and a local beer or glass wine is around 5 euros. It’s pretty hilly in Mykonos, so bear that in mind if mobility is an issue - you’d need to have accommodation in the centre if you want to avoid an uphill climb back to your hotel/room, etc.

Asty is a great location, there is a pharmacy and Starbucks across the road, 10mins further up the hill driving is 360 degrees, Zuma, and all the beauty spots alongside by the port. Across the road from the hotel is a straight path that leads you into Mykonos Town, this walk is not for the faint hearted..it’s very steep and very dark at night.

Location Next visit I would definitely avoid staying in Sunlight Tow N or any accommodation ran by Teo he is a rogue Booking should remove his listings, as he try’s to give people sub standard accommodation not what they book. And what he has on bookings is all fabrication the unit does not provide 15 of the things he lists as part of the accommodation and it does not look anything like the photos which are staged . Outstanding service from all the staff. Excellent location. Stunning views. Great facilities, particularly the new Comus restaurant and two infinity pools. Room was very comfortable. Young adult children were blown away by Tropicana Beach Club (300 meters from the hotel) which hosted top class DJ's every night. Excellent security at the Club and they never felt unsafe to be there until 1am in the morning. We needed a doctor for my daughter and the hotel arranged an onsite visit from the doctor within 45 minutes from the request. Hotel then also arranged for the prescription to be delivered at the hotel - super convenient.
