Hotels near Mykonos Airport - JMK, Mýkonos City

We loved this hotel - beautiful, clean, and with friendly people. The team made our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was well-prepared and delicious, featuring local dishes. Especially Perparim, George, Vasilina, and Magda provided a professional and unforgettable welcome at breakfast every morning. Location Next visit I would definitely avoid staying in Sunlight Tow N or any accommodation ran by Teo he is a rogue Booking should remove his listings, as he try’s to give people sub standard accommodation not what they book. And what he has on bookings is all fabrication the unit does not provide 15 of the things he lists as part of the accommodation and it does not look anything like the photos which are staged . Asty is a great location, there is a pharmacy and Starbucks across the road, 10mins further up the hill driving is 360 degrees, Zuma, and all the beauty spots alongside by the port. Across the road from the hotel is a straight path that leads you into Mykonos Town, this walk is not for the faint hearted..it’s very steep and very dark at night.

The part of Mykonos island where we stayed was very quiet at night so you could get a lot of rest and relaxation, which was great. We had like a 3-5 minute walk to a beach, a store, and a couple of restaurants. It’s like 5-7 minutes from Mykonos Town or the Old Port where a lot of the main action is so you have to get transported there. We learned that you have to have a class M license yo rent the scooters 🛴 (mopeds). The cars and ATVs are fine to rent with a standard license but the scooters require a Class M or CM(I believe). It’s Grecian law but very disappointing for us lol! We would have been better off with the scooters as they rent them for 24 hours; the cars and ATVs as well but we had a dream of zipping around on the scooter🤗 we know now and I’m sure by the next time we go— I’ll be able to get one 😉 Don’t stay In Mykonos Town if you want peace and quiet. Do stay in Mykonos Town if you want a bustling night life with plenty of dining option well into the morning.

It was away from the crowds and peaceful, able to enjoy the resort pools, walk to beaches, restaurants, etc. Not much of any shopping though. Close to bus station to take to Mykonos town where all of the people and action are! Would have loved more time for their spa!

Tourlos is certainly a less expensive alternative to Mykonos Old Town---as a hotel location---while proving easy and inexpensive access (€2/passenger with the Sea Bus) to the Mykonos Old Town. The island of Mykonos is ,however,---as a preferred party island for especially the younger visitors---not my preferred Greek Island, for exploring historic sites or even enjoying places with a unique volcanic history and topography (like Santorini)....
