Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, Bertus GuestHouse is situated in Labuan Bajo. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The host was friendly and helpful. We were basically only there to sleep at the head and tail ends of our 3d2n cruise in Komodo and to hold any of our luggage while we went on the cruise. It's a short walk across the airport, although down a rough gravel road, then an alley.

One of the most welcoming hosts ever! Tyo told me all about his culture and gave me a tour of his little garden. Would definitely come back!
Labuan Bajo is a vibrant an interesting place. The first time you see the harbour from the hill it makes you laugh with pleasure. People remain very friendly and helpful and although dive shops abound (and other tourist package offerings), you don't feel hassled at all. Further afield in Flores is very interesting if you like exploring, drinking coffee and talking to people - spectacular scenery. If you are more of a Bali Beachside holidayer, don't spend too long - probably 3 days is enough If you like culture and wandering, or just doing lots of dives/ boat rides and snorkelling, you could spend weeks.
This town has all the facilities that tourists need, but the people are still friendly and generous. The place is void of ripoffs like Bali and other overtouristed places. Get on a boat and explore the beautiful places near by.l
Great town with nice boat trip options for world class snorkeling and diving. Really nice choice of tours, hotels and restaurants found in town. Not as busy as Bali and more friendly people. Inland tours have very bad roads as it is windy and volcanic, so be prepared for a very time consuming inland tours.
The set of islands and Komodo National Park off of Labuan Bajo have stunning marine life; ideal for snorkeling, scuba-diving and hiking. It's definitely worth exploring these remote island via multi-day boat trip. Look for decent boat sleeping arrangement, and guides that has extensive experience of the area to spot manta ray, turtles, dolphins and other sea creatures.
It was a stopover for our tour of the Komodo Islands. Looks like there was great seafood in restaurants which we would have liked to try, but too late to make reservations. If we return we will choose a location closer to town so we can explore what it has to offer.
SO many incredible things to do in and around the area. The people were so kind and we did our PADI open water course with Dive Tribe Komodo. We did a day trip of the islands around and that was fantastic.
Labuan Bajo
Convenient one night stay in LBJ area before leaving on a boat trip. We booked a room with ocean views but felt removed from the ocean and felt like the room could be in a hotel anywhere. The restaurant area near the water is nice and relaxed. There were better looking rooms down here - maybe they’re the garden rooms?? And I’d stay there by choice.
room was worth the price. as what shown in the picture. Walking distance from the airport and there's a restaurant above the hotel with nice foods. Will stay here again if visiting LBJ
