Naples International Airport (NAP) Information
Location and Transport
Naples International Airport is located 3 miles (5 kilometres) northeast of central Naples, in the Capodichino district of the city. It is easily reached either by bus or taxi. The Naples Alibus shuttles between the airport, the city centre and central train station, departing every 20-30 minutes. A taxi will cost EUR 40 and take about 15 minutes.

There is a special ‘capsule’ hotel – the first-ever to open in Italy – inside the airport, and several other hotels within 5 kilometres, in case you need to stay the night before a connecting flight. A free shuttle service is provided by some hotels. Naples is a vibrant city rich in history and culture with lots to discover. Its historic center is full of narrow streets lined with artisan shops and markets. Naples is also known for its authentic pizza and street food. The city has a lively, sometimes gritty feel, blending beautiful old buildings with busy, energetic streets. Wearing comfortable shoes and having an open mind is the best way to enjoy all it has to offer. Use the hop on hop off bus - to get your bearings. Investigate the train system to understand the different lines. The venikula was a great way to get down or up the hill where we stayed.
