The location was perfect for a stay in this part of Malta. Getting there at night from the Airport on foot in thirty minutes. Do not worry if on Google maps you see photos of construction sites - those are outdated photos! It is all built and paved now, nice to walk on (July 2025). Facilities and cleanliness were spot on.

The building was absolutely spotless from the street door to the flat interior and it was fully equipped: fridge, ceramic hob, microwave, kettle, tea/coffee and breakfast items, toaster, iron and board, hairdryer… the air con/heater worked perfectly, the shower was strong and there was a smart tv with Netflix, etc. The host was absolutely lovely and very accommodating, communication was clear and quick. He also gave me a few tips for the area including local restaurants. It’s a 18 minutes walk to the airport or a 4 minutes (5€) uber/bolt. I highly recommend the place!

We regret we didn’t find this place earlier and made it our base for our expeditions into other parts of the country to come back to this beautiful, relaxing space. It is really nice spot, although you could go a bit closer to the sea. You can get around quite easily using the city buses. However, you should buy a Tallinja card for that, as buying separate tickets will not pay out (price is 2.5 euros at driver per 2hour trip). In contrast, for 25 euros you can get 7-day bus card (with many different options available). It will save you a lot.

Extremely kind and responsive host! He replied immediately to all our questions and was always available. We needed a cooler bag, and the host provided one right away. The maisonette has everything necessary for a longer stay. We were two friends with two children, who were also very happy. I highly recommend this place for accommodation! :)

I had time to stroll around some of the area with its narrow streets and good views of each part of the harbour. It was refreshingly peaceful and untouched although it is obviously having quite a bit of investment in the properties and streets, which is good to see.

During our stay at Johnny M we intentionally stayed only onboard. However I know the area very well. It is in the center of Malta and you may reach anywhere by car and also by public transport. There is a great relaxing walk on the promenade on both sides of the yacht. on one side there is an area with rocky beach where you may relax and swim in clear blue sea. Lots of good restaurants surround the area and there are a lot of bars for all type of people. Johnny M cannot be in a better place.
