If you're needing a place to stay near Groningen, specially after a flight, just take a bus 9 till Eskampenweg and it'll be on the dirt road, just slightly to the right of the stop, all the way at the end. Honestly, couldn't be better.

This is my second time here and my good experience is consistent with the last time. Room was large, gym/fitness facilities (including a sauna) were great. Food was alright at the restaurant for dinner, but breakfast was not so great. It's not worse than most chain hotels in the Netherlands though (I rarely have great breakfasts at such restaurants - the Netherlands doesn't have a huge breakfast culture, so it's not surprising). Front desk staff were great. In particular, Keilab (I probably spelt his name wrong - young guy with a gold tooth) was fantastic. He was very friendly, patient and helpful, especially for a Dutch hotel (where service isn't always so impressive in my experience). I rate him 10/10 for his service, he should get employee of the year!
