The place is very good, very near the airport and it favoured me to travel any where around faro district without worrying about the location or how to return back cause I already know once I am at the airport I am already there. The fly house is a great option if you have ann early flight in the morning or you want to be close to the airport it is only about a 10 to 15 minutes walk. The rooms feel like hotels rooms plus they have a common kitchen that can be used! I would highly recommend !

Only 2 days there. Easy to walk everywhere. Cathedral looks nothing from the outside, but when you go in - Wow! (better than Porto or Lisbon). Only time to sample one restaurant - Tasco do Ricky - very good. Took the ferry to Ilha Deserta (£26 for 3 return) for 1.5hrs on the water - great value, especially as dolphins appeared on our return trip - fabulous! Booked taxi for the airport for 0730 - Silvia was there right on time - excellent service.

Quiet mainly residential area. Beautiful long sandy beaches Long board walks that connect beaches. Great walks and cycling in area A trip to Loulé is a must and Faro old town and beach is easily accessible. Great restaurants all along beach.

We stayed in Faro overnight to catch an early morning flight.
We stayed in Faro overnight to catch an early morning flight. We went to the historical part of town and walked around. It was fine but rather unremarkable. However, there is a large shopping center in Faro with an Auchan Supermarket. This shopping center was fantastic, beautiful with nice water features and a large food center with relaxing outdoor seating.

Faro was a welcome change from the intense crowds in Lisbon and Porto. It was also an easy pedestrian walking area with lots of shops and restaurants, though, for a weekend, many were closed. But Pigs and Cows Restaurante, GO! SO good. We were also near the old city which was pleasant to stroll through. And NO HILLS!

Not child/ family friendly. Outdoor pool freezing. Indoor pool reserved for adults only even though when we booked it had children’s times scheduled. Main reason we booked was for the indoor pool. Very isolated if you don’t have a car. Otherwise everything was as expected in a 5star hotel.

Faro is wonderful.
Faro is wonderful. The Rio Formosa is the Jewel in the Crown. A word of caution, the streets are almost all cobbled and very polished , so be careful of footware. Take the train up to Tavira and Olhao, ideal for a day out.

The hostel is located about 15 minutes from Faro Airport, which is convenient. However, the facilities are extremely basic and the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. For the quality provided, the price feels definitely too high. It might be an option for travelers who need to catch an early morning flight, but otherwise, I would not recommend it.

We needed a one night stop-over on our journey and this hotel fitted our requirements. It was in a good location, and only 500 m from Faro Airport. The room was clean and a good size. WiFi was great, and there was plenty of car parking spaces. There was also a restaurant next to the hotel. Breakfast was very good.
