What a fantastic lodge this is, super comfy room with the best outdoor shower of Africa (love it 🚿). Great food, very friendly staff and perhaps most of all, giraffes 🦒 walking around your room. Highly recommended 👌

African Rock is quite simply a little piece of heaven. We stayed here for a night to rest after a long flight and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The room was gorgeous, the owner Sander was so nice and extremely welcoming and accommodating. The food was amazing and the setting was fabulous. Special mention to Matimbo who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was incrediblly friendly and always greeted you with a smile. I highly recommend African Rock Lodge. It exceeded our expectations and we only wish we could have stayed for longer.

The location within the wildlife park was excellent. It was only a short walk to one of the dams where a wide variety of bird and animal life could be observed. The location was also perfect as a base to explore Kruger National Park, which is less than 1 hours drive away. Spending time within the property was a pleasure. It was unfenced, which meant that we were treated to regular visits from warthogs, dwarf mongoose, several species of antelope and abundant birdlife. The decor was plain yet perfectly functional. All of the rooms were large and spacious. The kitchen was well appointed. The property was designed for outdoor living with extensive dining space, nice pool, braai area and decking areas for relaxing. it was just lovely being able to sit in the comfort of the stoup soak in the atmosphere and observe the amazing wildlife. We would definitely return. The hosts were very attentive and quickly dealt with anything issue we raised.

We had the most incredible stay. Loshni is an amazing host that made us feel right at home in South Africa. Any question I could ask to her and she always tried to help me out. Just amazing! The lodge felt like our home right away, super clean, and had anything we could've wished for. I loved my private outside shower... we will be back!
