The beach and the spa are 400 metres away and the shops are 100 metres away. This apartment was central, immaculate, and the host was very accommodating. In other words, perfect!

This property is up there for convenience, cleanliness and functionality. The owner has thought of practically everything, down to the wine bottle opener. Disregard any negative reviews about bathroom layouts. Shower facilities are in-room en suite style, separated by a dividing wall (no door), suitable for couples. Privacy not an issue. We booked 1st Floor apartment with balcony. Beautifully decorated. The seperate W.C in in the hall outside bedroom doors.

Serviced by a lift, Carlina Lodge rooms have TV with cable channels and a terrace. They all offer a private bathroom with a bath tub and free toiletries. Everything was fantastic. The woman at the front desk was fabulous, friendly, helpful and always smiling. The room was exceptional with incredible ocean views. The bed was very comfortable with excellent pillows. There was great lighting, so often rooms are dark. The tv was on castors so that it could be viewed either from the bed or the couch in its own little alcove with a large window. Important for us, because we stayed during the Rugby World Cup. It was warm the entire time, so we kept the window and balcony sliding glass door open. Apparently, this is common because the flooring is a surface that accepts water and it is easily mopped up. There was a large fabulous bath tub for soaking. We had breakfast one morning; a petit dejeuner simple. It included coffee and croissants. The cafe au lait was the best I have had since visiting Paris years ago. It was the old fashioned steamed milk in a pitcher. This is the ONLY hotel on the beach near the old town in Biarritz.. All of the others are up on the bluffs. The restaurant next door, Le Surfing was excellent as well.

The soundproofed studios have a terrace overlooking the Basque mountains and the marina or garden. They also come with free Wi-Fi, a bathroom with bath, a TV and a kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. This hotel would be the perfect place to bring my kids and stay for two weeks! The room was spacious and very clean, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The kitchen was lovely and I could totally see myself making meals and all of us eating out on the large balcony with its view of the marina. Getting to the beach was a very simple, quick walk and the beach was gorgeous. The pool was also lovely and my kids (ages 12 & 15) really enjoyed their time in it. The staff was helpful, efficient, and thorough.
