I visited Rapa Nui for two nights in December 2024 and Kitai Cabanas was really the best place to stay and made my short trip wonderful. The hosts are lovely persons and make the guests to feel welcome. Even before arrival communication was great and all questions have been answered quickly. Pick up at the airport was included and drop off at departure as well. The cottage is spacious, clean and a fully eqipped kitchen (which I did not use though, as Kitai Cabanas is next to many good restaurants). Water dispender is in the room, which was convinient. Room, bath and kitchen have been clean and I had a nice terrace with garden view. There are many lovely cats arround. Bed was comfortable. Wifi worked well. I booked also an island tour with the hosts and Kevin is an excellent guide. Very knowlegable about the history and culture of Rapa Nui.

The host,Katty was wonderful, welcoming and kind, going out of her way to make us welcome and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the bungalow very clean with a view of the sea. The location was excellent on the seafront. Breakfast was very good at the nearby cafe. It was good to be picked up and taken back to the airport and shown round the town on arrival.

The staff helped me arrange everything from airport transportation to my tours, making my trip much simpler and enjoyable due to the limit of time I had on the island. They truly treated me like family, making sure I was comfortable and having fun, which was wonderful as a solo traveler. They showed me around town, invited me to events, and even helped me get a last minute tattoo appointment. Additionally, the room was super cozy and clean and the breakfast was WONDERFUL. I can't say enough about how kind the owners of the hotel are, they made this trip unforgettable! The culture of the island is beautiful and unlike anything I have ever seen before.

Place was clean and cosy. Facilities worked fine. Bea is an amazing host and the gatitos banditos (two Black kittens) were just sweetest thing ever 😉

Stayed in Jan for 5 days with my partner. We both loved this place. The property was spacious and full of character. It had an actual moai in the garden and a view of one of the bigger moai could be seen against the sea from the lovely balcony. Rene (the host) was extremely friendly and helpful and he kindly picked us up from the airport. The walk to the town was beautiful (and safe) and you passed the moai on the way. The sunsets there were incredible and there is a nice restaurant nearby. It would really be hard for it to have been better.
