Nice lodge in the middle of nature and wildlife. Super close to Cahuita National Park. We had a nice bungalow, one of just a few, which was very clean and comfy. Great common outdoor kitchen. We saw sloths, monkeys, iguanas... right in the garden of the lodges.

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views.

The place is full of animals. In their garden you can see sloths, parrots, toucans, frogs, iguanas,even kinkajou. Pierre, the host was so nice and teached us how to find animals

We had an excellent stay at Playa Grande Lodge. The grounds are lovely with plenty of wildlife. We were really lucky as we even saw a sloth in the garden! Our appartment was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. The fact that the hotel is beachfront was a big bonus. We loved going for a morning walk on Playa Grande to watch the sunrise. And finally the hosts, Gianluca and Mia, are wonderfull: very welcoming and they gave us great tips for exploring the area. Would highly reccomend!

Exceptional value for money, standing out head and shoulders above anything else we found in Costa Rica in this mid range price bracket. Contemporary comfort, style, security, wonderful service, delicious food, calm atmosphere, beautiful hammock strewn palm grove right on the ocean, with waves rolling in on your doorstep. Beautiful Swimming pool and garden. Very friendly staff. Room spacious and nice. Bed comfi. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night! Walk is an option…max 30 min to center. Or 3000 taxi. Snorkeling tour an walk in Cuahita was nice!
