It was a perfect stay on Islay! Very friendly people there, perfect, well cooked scottish breakfast. Large, comfortable, clean and quit rooms. A bar is located direct to the hotel. You can take your drinks to the outside; there is a very nice resting area across the street. We loved it. A good starting point for cycling across Islay (better than car driving when visiting the distilleries). Thanks.

I can’t say enough nice things about this place! We booked rather last minute and it was the only place left in town. We weren’t expecting much but boy were we surprised! We had a room with a detached prive bath which was clean, conveniently located and much easier than it sounds. The room was so quiet and comfortable. By far the best part was the staff!! A rather large storm came through, canceling the ferries and forcing us to change plans. AJ was SO helpful with weather, ferry schedules and even packed us a breakfast to go as we had to leave early. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to my friends.

Breakfast was great. The host would prepare just about whatever you could ask for in a breakfast. There was no lack of food for eating breakfast. The view of the loch was a nice thing to see in the morning before breakfast and in the evening after a day's travels. The host also make sure we had dinner reservations ahead of time, which is a must on Islay.

    The setting is beautiful. You can walk through the golf course to the beach and it's like having your own private beach. The rooms are comfortable and clean (not luxurious but cozy). I don't think any hotels on the island are that fancy so this is definitely one of the nicer and more spacious ones (rooms are not huge but at least they aren't tiny). The food at the restaurant was pretty good too which is convenient. Staff and people on the island were extremely nice.

    The location is superb, wonderful views and walks along the vast beach. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with a fantastic bathroom. The room was a tad small and we had to keep our cases in the middle of the room but we had a great view across the golf course to the sea with stunning sunsets.
