Beach Hotels in Kartung

I had such a nice stay at Littles. It was off season and we had the great pleasure to be the only guest in the super tranquil, beautiful retreat. Just a short walk from the beach and not too far from Kartong, Little's is a fantastic place to go and relax. Staff were very friendly, food was some of the best I've ever had and rooms very comfortable. Little's is also female and Gambian run which made me even more happy to support. Lovely round hut with comfortable bed and mozzie net and lovely walk-in bathroom. Nice verandah to sit out. Very quiet and relaxed and Little and her staff were helpful and accommodated all we wanted. Breakfast was good. Check out the chicken curry for dinner. Great location 5 mins walk to the wonderful Santosha beach bar - relax there on sunbeds in the day enjoying Babou's delicious smoothies. Return in the evening to take in the warmth of the fire and the rhythmical drumming under huge African starry skies.

This is a wonderful, cozy place in the lap of nature. Аway from the noisy tourist places. We stayed 3 nights, and now we really regret not staying longer (so we are already thinking about the next trip to The Gambia to this place). A couple of minutes from the loft, there is a beautiful, almost deserted beach and a bar with incredible sunsets. And there is an incredible staff here who is ready to help with any little thing. Very tasty and fresh dishes are prepared by their chefs.

Secluded, shaded lodge that feels safe. Simple accommodation and a good choice simple meals - local recipes and ingredients. Not far from the beach. Very few people; peaceful. Good for birding: lots of ospreys (in February).

Excellent rooms in a wonderful garden with lots of exotic birds. Close to the beach and not far from the wetlands and the Allahein River in Kartong. Unique birdlife. The hosts and the staff are extremely helpful with anything you might desire. Delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Good WiFi.

Fantastic peaceful location Immaculately maintained Sunkar and Matthias are wonderful hosts. All of the staff are courteous and friendly. Food was decicious. Thanks Adama! Lamin’s adjacent beach bar is a great bonus.

I loved everything—the place, the friendly stuff, the host, the nature. We came here after our friend recommended it to us, and we were not disappointed. The breakfasts were very nice, and the food in general was amazing. The Retreat is in a place that is 5 minutes walking distance from a BEAUTIFUL beach and a nice beach bar. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Do not hesitate if you are looking for a genuine experience. It is so peaceful!

A few houses located in a beautiful garden, a kind hostess, delicious cuisine, birds singing all day and night, funny dogs accompanying you every step of the way Possibility to buy additional excursions, laundry, restaurant on site, good wifi. If you are looking for peace, unhurried rest, a truly African climate and hospitality - this place is perfect for you. If you care about the proximity of civilization, shops, beach infrastructure - look for another place.

We had a lovely and beautiful stay at Littles. There is a breathtaking beach, with awesome sunsets and a cosy bar to relax at the beach during the daytime. The food was very delicious and everybody was really caring and helpful the whole time. We enjoyed the nice and familiar talks and met great people there. We really hope to come back someday.
