It's a beautiful area - quiet and peaceful - the morning sunrise is spectacular. We also enjoyed snorkelling at one of the nearby islands. The staff were great at helping to arrange various modes of transport.

A magnificent place, very calming and at the same time all the activities within reach. The staff will mark you for life with their kindness, especially Madeh, he is always there with a smile on his face, and capable of finding you all the good deals. As for the owner, we felt like family, we had the impression that he had always been part of our lives. It's a place where we met great people, where we interacted with a lot of person and above all we made very good friends.

A truly fantastic place to relax, eat really well (don't miss the Eggs Benedict!), snorkel or hike around the island. Beautiful views and great design. We actually only wanted to stay 3 nights but were able to extend our stay - you won't want to leave here! There is a diving school at the Pearl Beach Resort, you are picked up directly from the beach at Amahelia, highly recommended! The staff at Amahelia are great, super friendly and incredibly helpful. Even with a medical problem, the manager was extremely helpful and competent - for hours and in the middle of the night! Thank you again for that! In my opinion, the best choice on Gili Asahan. Feels perfect at your place, we'll be back!

This is definitely one of the best highlights of our trip to Indonesia. We found this place while we were running away from the most famous Gili T (disaster experience), and luckily this happened! This place is pure magic. The staff is really awesome, kind and extremely helpful. Despite all the other hotels we visited in Indonesia, this one was extremely clean, with an attention to the details that reminds us a 5 stars hotel. You can have delicious lunches and dinners at their place, with a fair variety of food. You can snorkelling in front of the hotel seeing blue corals and different kind of fish (masks and rock shoes are freely available at the property). Highly recommended the snorkelling in the close islands, that despite the touristic attraction of Gili T with dead corals, boat gasoline in the air and huge masses of people, will bring you in completely empty, little and white sanded islands having the opportunity to see variety of fish, sea stars, sea horses and corals (the picture refers to this). Perfect place if you want to retreat yourself, take time to relax and stay away from the chaos. We definitely want to go back to Alam Karang in the future. The staff will definitely be part of us forever: mimpi manis.

My girlfriend and I went to The High Dive back in February and had such a wonderful experience. At the time, it was the end of the rainy season and we were the only guests in the hotel, but it also seemed like we were the only tourists on the island. It was so calm, peaceful, and relaxing. The hotel itself and the restaurant/terrace area is beautiful. We had one of the beachfront bungalows and it was really great. Warm, stylish design, big comfortable bed, a ceiling fan and A/C, plus a spacious bathroom. Everything we ate at the High Dive, whether breakfast or the main menu, was delicious! The highlight of the experience here for us was the staff. The team is mostly local from the Gili Gede island. They treated us with such warmth that it felt like we were hanging out with friends and it meant that the overall experience had a very personal feeling. They helped teach us some of the local language but otherwise could speak English well, so we felt very comfortable. We didn’t actually Scuba dive, but did a snorkelling trip for 1 day and loved it. We saw some beautiful, colourful coral reefs, had lots of fun with the crew - stopping on a nearby island for a snack, fresh coconuts, and Lombok coffee was really special! Otherwise, contact with Lisa was always quick, friendly, and easy - she was really helpful and made us feel very welcome!

Our family had a lovely relaxed time at Vayam Boutique Resort. We stayed 2 bed rooms cottage, it was very cozy and we love the large veranda. I enjoyed yoga in the yoga Shala with mats provided. We had great swimming in front of resort, easy walk to snorkelling spots and we really enjoyed island tour by speed boat from vayam. Staff were friendly and accommodating,my kids really love them!

Fabulous Aren´t we all strive to find the hidden lonely paradise island, hunting for the “unspoiled” far away from bars serving breakfast 24/7 and tourist crowds, searching for the old northern gili islands of yesteryear? But still dreaming of infinite comfort, sublime food and sparkling wine on a pristine tropical island surrounded by beautiful coral atols with yesterdays structures of marine life and impressive coral tables? We found it. A sublime intimate luxury resort overlooking the sparkling seas of the Indian Ocean, with the most brilliant and memorable staff providing a stunningly service from the moment we arrived by boat. All staff always went above and beyond. The food was outstanding and Villa was very spacious, clean and comfortable with great beds. We were there on our 25 years anniversary of marriage and staff made a gorgeous display on the bed with flowers and so kindly gave us an upgrade to best villa of the hotel with a view to the sea. 11 days we stayed - not a night too much. We will be back. The hotel offers a broad range of watersports activities. We enjoyed most drift snorkeling trips with local fisherboat to nearby uninhabited islands with untouched white lonely sandy pristine beaches, crystal clear waters teeming with uncountable colourful fish of all kind, turtles and stunningly vivid corals of all kinds. Like Gili Trawangan 30 years ago. Romantic picknick on lonely palm tree island with white sandy beach and turtles breathing at the water surface is just around the corner. Gili Gede is an island without roads. There are only paths, amazing shells to be found along the classic palm-fringed untouched sandy beaches beaches surrounding Gili Gede and a lovely and friendly locals waiting to tell their story and life. Remember to coordinate your stay with “Giligetaway” boats as they are the only public connection to Nusa Penida, Gili T and Bali.

A family friendly resort with plenty for the children to do. The food was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating.
