The rooms were renovated and upgraded, the food was amazing, now daily seafood at lunch time was added and sushi in the evenings. That is what we need at the beach. They have received the travel life certificate and use glass bottles in the rooms and don't replace towels if not needed. The staff as usual very welcoming and friendly.

Staffs are very well trained and super friendly, and although it is an older property but well maintained. Clean the pool every morning, reasonably priced drinks and food are available. There are beach boys here too, but far fewer & nicer than in the other part of area. If you walk along the beach then go to the beach road within a 10~15 minute walk, you can find kinda mall (ATM, supermarket, various restaurants - Try The K Korean!, bars and souvenir shops). After sun goes down, instead of walking, take a tuk-tuk (KES100) to get back to the hotel. There are very few properties on Booking.com that have over 9-star rating with more than 1,000 reviews. If you go there you will know WHY! You'll probably need earplugs because of the monkeys..... LOL

Everything is great in this hotel. I really recommend it....Commfortable and silent place to stay, surrounded by greenery, right on the beach, nice pool. Professional and friendly staff, delicious breafast with huge choice and also local recipe as a special meal for us. The staff is very helpful. Snacks and drinks at the bar. For dinner you can go to several nearby restaurants. The meal is really delicious. Supermarket is 5 mins by walk. Great offer at a great price. Thank you very much Sylva, czech speaking manager, our holiday was incredible. :) ..................P.S. don't be afraid to ask for payment details, in Kenya there are different conditions, some requests seem like scams.

The Nomad is a really lovely place. The food was very good, the staff at reception very friendly and professional. The whole set up with the swimming pool surrounded by greenery is lovely. Also nice to watch the different monkeys climbing in the trees. The beach is truly stunning, and while before booking I had feared the beach would be too busy, this was not the case. Of course when you go for a walk you are approached by beach sellers, but they accept a no. We had a standalone bungalow, with our own reclining chairs and lots of space around, very pleasant (that probably explains the high price, but for us that privacy and peacefulness was what we had been looking for), beach sellers walk past, but they leave you in peace when you say no. We also appreciated their environmental efforts.
