Beach Hotels in Tangalle

EVERYTHING - Manu and his wife Shishi and the house dogs were the best! we felt at home, Manu went fishing and cooked us fresh crabs, shrimps, fish more than we can eat at a very fair price. he also went fishing in the next morning again and cooked us fresh lobsters in the morning free of charge because he didnt have lobsters the night before. he is just too kind and giving. we played card games all night as a family:) rooms are clean and beds are comfy. also hot shower! dont leave this place without eating the seafood!

We had a beautiful week at this serene accommodation with the kindest and most helpful staff! They were renewing the roof of our bungalow so we were offered an upgrade free of charge. The food was absolutely delicious and the Halcyon Spritz was the perfect summer drink for us European travelers. The cappuccino with Sri Lankan coffee beans was also delicious. We boogie boarded in the ocean and relaxed by and in the pool. We even stopped by for lunch after we’d checked out and travelled for a week and were greeted like old friends by staff and owner alike. It really felt like coming home. 10/10 recommendation!

This hotel is very new and clean with a beautiful bathroom. The nearby beach is quiet and pristine.

It started when we arrived and were already awaited and greeted by manager John and his girlfriend Adele with big smiles :) They were so very helpful and nice throughout our stay and made the experience perfect. John always had tips for us about where to go and was always available when we had any questions. We were staying in one of their two villas, and it was so nice to have our own living room with comfy couch and even small kitchen with two fridges for drinks. The villas are the most set back from the front of the property and offer perfect privacy if that's what you want. Everything was super clean and nicely furnished - we felt very comfortable. The terrace with lounge chair and sitting area with coffee table was ideal for having a morning coffee and just enjoy the sounds of nature. The staff! Nuan and Ruzindu (I hope I wrote the names correctly) were the two waiters in the restaurant, and they both did a great job. While I do not remember the chef's name, I need to mention him and the kitchen staff as well, because the food there was some of the best we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. Also, Tila, who takes care of the cleaning and gardens, together with another man, whose name I unfortunately can't remember, where truly warm and kind to us and always passed by our villa for a chat whenever they passed. The staff, together with John and Adele made the stay there to what it was - PERFECT! The property itself is simply beautiful: Laid out very well with lush greenery and nicely done paths throughout, there are 5 rooms in total - 2 villas and 3 bungalows. The hotel was planned and designed very thoughtfully and you feel the emphasis on the detail there. It sits on a beautiful stretch of beach, which is always empty and you can walk for miles in any direction. The sea was not swimmable while we were there due to the strong waves, but it was still beautiful just to look at it and enjoy the views.

We had an amazing stay. The Cabanas are spacious and clean. We also liked the food at the restaurant, we tried breakfast lunch and dinner and we liked it very much. The location directly on the beach is perfect. What we liked the most about this place were the people, they were super friendly and helpful, they did everything to make our stay exceptional. They made us feel like we were staying at a friends or familys place.

Amazing place with amazing lagoon View. The rooms are very large/big and comfortable. Lakshitha is trustful, helpful and very respectful, always on side when you need. Breakfast was served very tasty and varied every day. Vitamin + , he made sure of that. We where there in low season and loved the tranquility and lack of people.

Very welcoming and attentive hosts. Spacious and clean bungalow. Great breakfast and we could use the nice pool and gym.

Everything there was perfect, from the room to the Restaurant and the family living there. If you like Nature, Calmness and the sounds of waves. This place is for you !

We were planning to stay 2 days we stayed 5 days :) We didn’t want to leave. It’s a real hidden garden with full of nature and full of good people. I am working remotely and the family makes everything easy for me. The pool, rooms and everything is super clean. If we can manage to come back to Tangalle one day, we would definetly stay in Hidden Garden again. In 3 weeks trip of Sri Lanka, so far it was the best place! Thank you for everything. And Brunoooo, I love you smelly boy 💜
