The location is spectacular with a wonderful view over Zihuatanejo Bay. It was a short walk along the beach into town with many little beach side bars and restaurants at which to stop for refreshments along the way. If you are not up to the walk back at the end of an evening then it's only a short 50 pesos taxi ride home. The building and the pool area are well kept and the 24hr security (although in Zihua safety is rarely a concern) was friendly and helpful. The apartment, although a little dated, was clean, comfortable and spacious enough for two couples. Even on 32 degree days, the cool ocean breeze blowing through the huge windows made AC (although available) unnecessary. My wife and I have visited Zihuatanejo a number of times over the past years and have never been disappointed. This trip was no different. Casa Bahia was our first non-hotel experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Jim and Holly were very forthcoming with information and we were delighted with their recommendations for bars and restaurants that we had not visited before. Upon arrival we enjoyed a warm greeting from Carmen the property manager even though we arrived outside of the normal check in hours. Throughout our stay Carmen was always readily available for any questions and arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport the day we left. All in all a fantastic stay!

Best view ever. Lovely walk down to the sea from the house. Comfortable big bed. They cleaned the house everyday, replacing used towels and toilet paper - which was amazing. Simple kitchen, perfect for a long weekend. Such lovely hosts and overall wonderful stay. We like the cats too :)

I enjoyed the tranquility. I felt like I was the only guest there, only to find out later there were other people staying there. It is quiet. The room was spacious and had a kitchenette. The AC worked perfectly. The room was exceptionally clean. I also enjoyed the food. The restaurant is not heavily advertised, but when traveling alone, it nice to stay in for meals especially after dark. Alfredo arranged safe taxi travel for me. I felt safe and at peace at Casa Kau-Kan. I would absolutely recommend Casa Kau-Kan to friends and family. I would like to stay there again.

The views and beach are outstanding. The rooms are fit for a king. Peace and quiet. Falling to sleep listening to waves was heaven. The pools are great. The staff were welcoming and friendly.
