The moment I stepped into the homestay on November 12, 2024, I was deeply touched by the host's thoughtfulness, love, and the cleanliness of the place. The establishment is both a pub/restaurant and a place to stay, with a mix of longer-term "residents" and short-term stayers "guests" like me. The atmosphere is friendly, but people are not nosey. There are plenty of bathrooms which are communally shared, containing toilet, washbasin and shower ("three-quarter bathrooms"). There is no "bathroom queue"! :-) The laundry facility is paid for using coins and the responsibility is the guest's. Clean, effective washing and drying. Breakfast is available in the communal kitchen from the fridge marked "Guests". This suited me fine as I had to go to meetings early (6am for a 7am start) and thus could have my breakfast when I returned. :-) One hint of what the atmosphere is like was the response of the owner, Barry O'Shaugnessy, to my lugging my suitcase up the narrow outside stairway which serves as the fire escape and the closest entrance from the car park: he suggested he carry the suitcase for me! Much appreciated!

Location was perfect with restaurants walking distance. Beach across the road. Very clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated. Would definitely stay there again.

Everything! When I walked into my room I felt I was walking into paradise. The breathtaking view that makes you want to stay the whole day in the house just contemplating all the nature’s spectacles. Beautiful sunrise, moonrise, all the ocean colors changing through the day, the birds singing… The bathroom is huge with an amazing hot shower and large bathtub. Also a huge closed to keep all your stuff organized. A room for queens and kings! Huge and comfortable bed, cozy bed linings.. just a short walk to the beach where you find nice paths to do some long walks by the beach at low tide and also discover some hiking that will take you to a summit with more amazing views. A place to reconnect with yourself. A true retreat! Hellen so nice and gently, ready to help you with whenever you need and also her husband and son really kind. The kitchen is very well equiped and organized, with everything you need if you wanna play a master chef. Felt so in love that I extended my stay and for sure it will a place to come back! Felt in Heaven!
