Smålandsgarden is a stunning place, situated right at a lake and with a very calm atmosphere. The room is decorated in a simple Scandinavian way. There's no TV set which somehow adds to the tranquillity though. Breakfast and dinner were both good, too. Everything at a reasonable price by Swedish standards. Staff has been very friendly.

Have never heared anything as kind as last midnight, arriving 4+hours after registering times. "Would you like to have something from kitchen?I could find you something" . Well, mr.. My heart melt! The house was welcoming (just like arriving home!) and our room was lovely (no TV! Perfect! Who needs tv in bedroom?). It was so quiet to sleep and breakfast was good and yard was nice. Absolutely want to come back!

The main reason for visiting Gränna during this particular weekend is the Bluegrass festival in town. The reason for choosing Strandterrassen hostel is the proximity to the caravan/camp/ cabin park just next to it. That's where all the musicians gather before and after the festival to play. Strandterrassen is an ordinary hostel with a shared bathroom. The doubleroom comes with a bunkbed, 2 lounge chairs and a table. The rooms is clean, it is cleaned by the guests. There's a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook or just keep your food- and drink items in the fridge and freezer. Free parking is provided. The ferry to Visingsö is just outside as well as the many restaurants on the pier. You can swim in lake Vättern. The Gränna town is a short walk away.

    Wonderfull host. She had just baked some cinnamon rolls, they were absolutely lovely. The host remodeled their garage into a nice and cozy apartment Full kitchen, propper rainshower, walking distance from the ferry dock and town center. The back garden is available to watch the sunset over the lake (though standing on the pier its better)

    I liked the beaches. It was perfect. I think it was the manager who was the most attentive and helpful. We stayed in a studio room it was quite spacious. My dog had so much fun there.

    The location of the hotel by the lake is amazing. There is a small beach and a bigger, public, sandy beach a few meters away. There is a 4 km walk around the village which is highly recommended. The place and village were very quiet. The sauna and jump in the lake were nice. Helpful and friendly host Joakim.
