All staff were outstanding particularly Pat and Ouiee (spelling is probably incorrect). Breakfast was nice (best caffe latte I found in Samui). The building is 3 years old and hardly used due to COVID. The room was beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower and toilet have glass doors so you will have no privacy from your partner. If this is an issue, this is not the place for you. The beach is just metres away from the room past the plunge pool. The building is next to the link road however there is not a huge amount of traffic and it is quite sound proof. I occasionally heard passing scooters but never at night. They have a canoe and stand up paddle board for use free of charge and also rent out scooters. The beach is nice however the water is not very deep. It is much deeper further east. I was told that the water is even shallower in March/April. It is not a particularly busy area compared to Chaweng or Lamai however there are several nice restaurants along the beach. So if you are after a quiet holiday and can afford the price, I highly recommend the White Whale.

We really liked our stay at BangPo Resort. It’s in a quiet location but still has all the facilities close by. Very friendly staff.

such friendly and fantastic service. it was my birthday, and they provided myself and my friends with a cake to celebrate, with the live music and other patrons joining in with a song! the owner and his wife are the most hospitable people, they live and breathe this place and it shows - they create a homely and warm venue, greeting you with a smile. the accommodation is exactly what you imagine when you think “island holiday”. this accomodation is not for someone seeking a 5 star resort holiday, rather the authentic and rustic beach bungalow getaway. the location is calm, peaceful and absolutely idyllic, with amenities all within walking distance.
