Both the hotel and hostel have wonderful grounds that you’re happy to return to after busy days, and while it’s an approximate 10min walk from center, I felt very safe and didn’t mind it one bit. Andrea is so great, infinitely kind and helpful. I enjoyed the pool, I looooved my room.

At the guest house, units come with a seating area. Awesome spot! We were welcomed by a friendly smile and our room was great! Bed was comfortable, hot water was perfect, and the inclusion of a small fridge and kettle were very helpful with saving a bit of money on breakfasts. Location is great - easy walk to the docks and close by to Concha for snorkelling. They offer all the most popular Isabela tours, and the prices they quoted us were much better than what we’d already pre-paid on Santa Cruz. Would recommend and will definitely be back!

Featuring a terrace, Casa Alexita is set in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno in the San Cristobal Island region, 800 metres from Oro Beach. This homestay offers free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The accommodation provides a shuttle service, while a bicycle rental service is also available. Absolutely wonderful. Alexita did everything possible to make my stay amazing. My room was large, the bed comfortable and I had a private ensuite bathroom with a warm shower. The kitchen had everything I needed including a large stove. Drinking water is supplied. Alexita did my washing which was way more than I expected. There was also complementary snorkelling gear when I was there. It is in a very quiet location and only a short walk into town. I walked from the airport as the taxi driver quoted US$50 for a 5 minute ride (it should only be a few dollars) - so ask before getting in. It took me 30 minutes and it is a flat easy walk except the last 5 or so minutes which is up a not very steep hill. An option is to walk into the town (5-10 mins) from the airport and then flag a taxi and ask the price. I was able to walk to all the nearby beaches. Alexita also organised my ferry tickets to other islands. A truly memorable stay.

Very clean and well maintained. Fully equipped kitchen and filtered water. Big bathroom. Walter was very helpful and communication was great. Close to local shops and to the entrance to Tortuga Bay. Excellent value for money.

This review is written by me but is headlined by Kathryn my friend who made the booking. 🤔La Casa de Amelia is a first rate operation. I stayed there for 9 nights very recently. There are three reasons why I rate this hostal so highly. Firstly, comfort. I had a full one bedroom apartment with all amenities. The unit is bright, very high ceilings, excellent AC, full kitchen, clean and has great Galápagos character. Secondly, value. This is incredible value! Thirdly and most of all, the hosts - they are such a charming and real couple. Anita and her husband Danielle are the real deal. They are most gracious. Thank you guys.

There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay. The bed and breakfast features garden views, an outdoor fireplace, and free WiFi is available. Lenke is amazing! She was so communicative and responsive from the moment we booked and throughout our stay. She sat down with us and told us about her favorite restaurants, lent us aloe when I got sunburned, and let us borrow her fins since we had had trouble finding some in the size we needed. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with hot water in the shower and an air conditioner that worked well. We ended up booking a few tours through her as too and we were so pleased with the quality of those as well. Can't recommend the Black Pearl enough!
