Your host Guisi lives in-house makes sure you don't miss anything. The breakfast is made to order – which you have to place the evening before – and was consistently great. (The breakfast item 'toast' actually is a toasted cheese&ham sandwich – oh, so yummy!) The location of the building right next to a gas station might seem unfortunate, but it's more than made up for by a 12 min walk down to spectacular beaches with crystal clear waters. (It's a rocky coast down there, but the community has built a natural pool at Cala Tunnara with steps into the waters and a connection to the open sea. Bellissimo!!) A very nice, reasonably priced restaurant, Litrico's, is just around the corner. (I didn't visit the La Combusa next door, which is even better rated.)

What also makes a property is not only cleanliness and comfort but the people who run it, just beautiful, caring and guenuine people! Alexia is the sweetest person and her love shows, making sure we enjoyed our stay! Made us feel so welcome and as it turns out they own the bakery down below the B&B, the aroma of baking bread wafting through our window early in the morning was just sensational! Needless to say so was the freshly baked goodies delivered to our room first thing in the morning! The bakery is something else, just go and buy up, everything is so delicious! Their pizza is the best, as was the spinach calzone and ham and chese pastries, so lucky to have this right underneath us. While visiting Policoro make sure you visit Sfizi Del Palato, best meat on the planet at a reasonable price! Highly recommend a stay at I Giardini Di Zelda fantastic value for money!

The room is spacious and the hosts have thought of many little details making the stay even better, and they are very, very helpful. It is immaculately clean. A really great breakfast: Freshly baked croissants, two sorts of cake, a fridge full of yoghurts, juice, milk; an espresso-machine and ample supply of capsules - etc. etc.. The view from the veranda outside the room is stunning. Maratea is a wonderfull little town with two excellent restaurants at the harbour and a beautifull old city perched on the cliffs above. Calm, pretty, and inviting. I will definately return!
