I loved everything! The setting is exceptional - there is no better place to hear and see the full spectrum of the jungle activity day and night. The new argentinian owner, Gonzalo, is fully dedicated to making this place an unforgettable experience for everyone. I especially appreciated all the eco-friendly touches he added to the main building. He is very consciencious and knows Costa Rica inside out. And If you don't usually like bunk beds, give this a try: the high wooden roof make the rooms feel very spacious, and the upper bunk is next to the windows screen and the jungle outside, with a net, privacy curtain, reading light and fan. Top confort. The general vibes of the hostel were chill, and guests were all happy to extend their stay. As a plus, the best grocery store in the region is just down the road.

There were so many things we liked about this property, I could write a book. We came to Costa Rica for the wilderness and after visiting La Fortuna and other areas of Costa Rica and seeing no animals we were thrilled when we saw them right on the property. Location is amazing, it is just outside the city (7mins from city center of Puerto Viejo by tuk tuk). Very spacious bungalows recently renovated. And the staff is amazing, bonus points to the owner Christian who also speaks French! Helped us quite alot with stuff to do in the city for new years and how it works with the locals. Took his time to show us our lodging and where to find what we need. The breakfast was also amazing! I really can't find anything negative about our stay of 2 days. Definitely would recommend

Great location for one of the best beaches in Costa Rica and wonderful surroundings. The kayaks are also a must! Keep in-mind that this a jungle bungalow with no AC and surrounded by noises of all sorts of animals, so set your expectations accordingly (not for light sleepers). We had breakfast and dinners on the little patio outside in March, no issues with mosquitoes for us.

The location was perfect . Off the main road , outside of the main town , walking distance to such a beautiful beach and in a jungle setting . The staff and owners were wonderful and very helpful .
