Good location, excellent breakfast. There is a common living/breakfast area and 5 rooms only on the same level. There is no door to the rooms, so when people talking could be disturbing. The building has been recently renovated (3 years ago) with quality materials. Parking just in front of the building.

We’d landed in what would become our most immersive French experience of the trip. La Roche du Croue is a centuries-old alpine dairy building, now a cosy B&B set right in the heart of the village. Our room was simple, clean, and comfortable, with a banger of a view straight into the Alps. What really made it special was our host, Marianne. She insisted we sit down with her and other guests for both dinner and breakfast. The food was sensational — three-course dinners with proper alpine heartiness — but the real treat was the company. Everyone made the effort to share their day, even if language slowed things down a little. From the moment I lifted the heavy barn-door latch and stepped into the old tunnel entrance, I knew we’d found something special. We have travelled France for nearly a month, and in terms of value for money La Rouche du Croue has been outstanding. Even the cat is friendly. We had only booked one night, we stayed two. Now that is saying something.

We enjoyed everything very much and Mathilde is a superb host. The room was perfect to every detail. The chateau is nicely renovated, creating a stunning mixture between modern and comfortable while keeping the charme of the chateau. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had everything one needs. The breakfast was a solid 11/10, from the best croissant we had during our vacation to the selfmade yogurt and orange juice, the regional fruits and cheese plate, everything was delicious! We can and will recommend the chateau de vigny for everyone being in the region! We will return 100%.
