The property is beautiful and you can see the ocean from the room. The staff was extremely kind and friendly, the wifi was very good, and you could even drive your scooter on the black sand in the sunset. I would gladly return.

The staff were exceptional, answered all our questions that we had, and assisted us with onward travel. They also booked our Ijen tour for 350K each. The breakfast was really nice. The morning we left, we left very early, before breakfast time, and without asking they packed us a takeaway breakfast which was so nice of them. Definately recommend staying here.

Dannu is a lovely host and is really nice to talk to about Indonesian culture and his own travelling experiences. I took part in the Ijen tour he organises which provides transport, water, a guide and a headlamp. He makes lovely breakfast , the rooms are clean and the hostel is situated 15 min from the ferry station and 15 min from the train station.

The best place we have stayed during our trip! The owner is so kind and helpful, he picked us up from the train station despite our train being 5 hours late, helped us book the Ijen tour at an amazing price and arranged our transport to Bali! The rooms were really clean and the outside area was great to relax in! Plus the free breakfast was amazing!

Very close to the ferry and just 4 min from the train station 🚉 Ac and clean room. Basic but all you need in my opinion :) the owner was super friendly and helpful and always had a smile on her face, loved our 2 nights here!

Amazing stay at Sans Borobudur! The staff were so lovely and friendly,we had good chats! They helped us organise things, and brought us our meals up to the room when required, which was a lovely touch. Always smiling, always happy to help, what a great place! Good location in a quiet area of Banyuwangi, easy for Grabs to find, great location for Ijen hike and all sorts. We wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend this place! Thanks team! This is an AWESOME place! A little oasis, very close to one of the little harbours where the boats for Menjangan Island leave from. We had booked a daytrip from Lovina to do the snorkeling, but instead of going back to Lovina afterwards, we had decided to book 3 rooms here for our group of 3. We were thinking of going for a hike in the NP the next day. And boy, were we happy we did! This place is so nice! The rooms are beautiful. Very nicely decorated (we wanted to take all the furniture home with us!), spacious, clean and with a huge bed with a good matras and pillows. The bathroom is spacious and beautiful with marble tiles. This hotel is pretty new (2018). The gardens and the pool are also amazing. Staff speaks English and are super friendly and eager to assist. We found out they offer snorkeling trips with their own boat (incl lunch and drinks) and they can arrange transportation to the main gate of the park, where the trails start, and get you a guide for it. In the evening we asked for a car and we went for dinner at the Mimpi resort, at the Sunset Beach Restaurant. (20 minutes by car). Which is also something to do, because also so beautiful and good food. In the morning we had an excellent choice in breakfast and everything was delicious. Try the dragon fruit juice!

Great location, only 3min walking from the train station, and you don't have the feeling being inside the city, it's quite calm. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Hamet is super nice and welcoming and his wife prepared the breakfast for me in the morning. Thank you again 😉

    Loved it. Not a tourist place. Very quiet. Delicious breakfast. Very clean and tidy. Good air con... great pool. Lovely staff. I felt like I was in my own private paradise. It's a bit far from Melaya town, so you might need a scooter or a car to get around. There is a warung on the beach but they charged me double because I am a tourist
