Beautiful location, just a short walk away from Slieve League, definitely worth the trip. House was very clean and host friendly. We would recommend having dinner at the nearby Rusty Mackarel pub, a traditional Irish pub

Have stayed there a good few times over the years with motorcycle friends, premises has new owners now ,"Delores and her family " always a home from home to stay in slieve league lodge. From what we seen from our latest stay New owners have the same plan for the place, good food, good bar, good rooms, good value, ideal base for touring Donegal. 10 out 10 from us old Mayo bikers.

This was an absolutely amazing stay! The view from our room was simply breathtaking - like a perfect picture. The hosts were so friendly; they truly made us feel at home. Since we forgot to write a note on the "visitors' book", here we go: among all the places we have bene staying to during our holidays in Ireland, this was surely the best as It made us feel at home. Clean, cosy, with a stunning view over the bay and an incredible care for those little details that eventually can make all the difference and speak about two hosts that really care about their guests. Brigitte and Adrien welcomed us warmely, suggesting us the hidden gems of their surrounding and waking us up with the sweetest of all breakfasts. We had a wonderful time staying at Kilcar Lodge! Really nice and cosy rooms with the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in for a long time!! The host is so friendly and made us a huge vegetarian breakfast in the morning. The location is perfect, even though it’s located directly on the road it’s quiet at night!

Comfortable room, friendly staff. We arrived after 10pm so the pub was busy and fun, yet a fast check in so we could go downstairs to enjoy the atmosphere - best energy in Ireland. 10/10 recommend

Very kind welcome. Big room for 4 with two large, very comfortable double-beds. Great breakfast concept - everyone prepares it’s breakfast in the joint kitchen that has a fridge and cupboards full of fresh food. All very clean. Our room was calm although it was close to the breakfast area. TV with lot’s of different streaming services much appreciated by our kids.
