This B&B is unique - like entering a Fellini movie. Try it and you'll never forget it! You are met at the door by your 85-year-old host. He speaks numerous languages and is helpfulness embodied. The house is old and dignified - and filled in every corner by books and photographs. The host was a photographer by profession in his younger days. The room was spacious with a newly renovated bathroom. Sheets and towels were clean and the room was well lighted. A good Italian breakfast was served in the living room filled with memories - and naturally more books! At some point the music came on and Pucini's voice filled the room.

This place is a Gem. Off the beaten track BUT WOW. Our hosts, Massimo and Siobhan were exceptional. Dinner was prepared by Massimo, an Italian Chef - best meal we had on our 5 week holiday. We only wish we stayed longer Thankyou guys, and make sure you look us up if you come to AUS

What a wonderful place. Perhaps the cosiest bed I've ever slept in, with fabulous linen. A very warm welcome by Roberto and his wife who made my stay relaxing and enjoyable. They are excellent hosts who looked after me very well. The breakfast was superb and, as Robert promised, I saw deer in the garden when I took a morning walk.

If you find yourself in Piedmont, Northern Italy and are looking for the perfect getaway to relax, connect and wind down... PekerHouse could just be what the doctor ordered. PekerHouse is a small Agri and Horse farm located 6 km from the town of Varzi. Run by Kristina and her family, PekerHouse is located next to the Pò River with a stunning view of the surrounding hills and forest rising out of the Staffora valley. We shared a small functional apartment with comfortable beds and wood burning oven that kept things warm and toastie during our cool autumn visit. The bathroom was excellent with one of the best showers I have ever experienced. Breakfast was simple but very tasty and Kristina made sure that there were choices for every taste. Despite the rain (and there was plenty) the best part about PekerHouse is the ability to wind down and relax surrounded by the sounds of water and the smell of fresh Lavender. There is also a large community space upstairs which is warm and dry and the perfect place to catch up on some knitting or that new book. It’s a place where you will meet very curious geese, sheep, cows, goats and even a donkey. So lucky to have found this little piece of heaven on earth to connect, talk and get a little homesick for New Zealand….. Ataahua (Beautiful).
