This property is a real gem. The quiet simplicity of this beautifully located traditional Japanese house is hard to overstate. The wonderful breakfast before the open sliding doors looking out over the lovingly tended garden with the mountains as backdrop will remain unforgettable. Yuki-San is a delightful host, both warm and open and discrete at the same time. Easy to reach by train from Kyoto and close to the beautiful Akame waterfalls. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was great and location in the beautiful mountains was really nice- easy access to yoshino area. Hosts were lovely and very accommodating, they helped me rent a bike which was a great way to see the lake and surroundings. The room was also perfectly set up and it felt quite authentic. The cultural experiences you can participate in were one of the highlights of my stay here!

I was very fortunate that there were no other guests staying in the house and I had the whole space to myself, very spacious and comfortable, and the hostess Kyoko was so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place, close to Nara Deer Park.

Nice house in small village. But this is not only the facilities that make this a great place, it’s the hosts! Absolutely authentic and nice people that made our stay here the best part of our trip. It feels like combining a cultural exchange program bundled in a simple nice hotel. To top it off, the food they prepare is top notch! Really fantastic!!!!

Great location, just a few minutes walk away from the main business streets and 20mn from the park. The room and facilities are great for the price, brilliant value. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel, but for the same price in Europe you’d get one bed in an 8-bed dormitory, 40mn outside town. So this is great. They even let us check in early.

The owner was really nice and welcoming, and she's a really good cook! The breakfast was amazing! The amenities provided were really clean as well. The location is good too as it is near Nara Park and all the other places to visit. We really enjoyed our time staying there!
