The owner was very nice to me. He offered me free drining water and arranged it himself. Two times I got lost, I couldn't find my way to the guest house, since it's a bit further inside from the main road. He was very kind to come and pick me with his motorcycle. The room and toilet was newly built and clean. AC was working perfectly fine, although during night I didn't need it. The bed was comfortable and huge. He also provided me with cutleries when I needed. There's public transport available to Pollonaruwa 10 minutes walking distance from the place. Getting a Tuktuk might be a bit challenging.

The owner is very helpful and came to collect me with his tuk tuk for free. The place is very quite in the middle of nature, just 300m away from the Gal Vihara with its energetic presence. The owner offered me an half hour night walk which we couldn't do bc of the rain. Bicycles can be rent on place and I loved to cycle downtown along this beautiful road along the river. Room is big, high ceiling with fresh air. Not hot, very clean also the bathroom. Furniture is in good condition. Warm water works, mosquito net ok. WiFi broke when I was there because of the thunder, but the owner went to buy me recharge cards for my mobile data. Nice garden.

I had a wonderful stay at New Haven Polonnaruwa. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and very well-maintained — everything was clean and tidy, which made the stay even more comfortable. A special mention to the uncle who looks after the place — he was so kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed, which truly made us feel at home. I stayed at Sashini Homestead for 2 nights and had an absolute wonderful time. Chaminda and his family were fabulous hosts and provided great information about the Tourist sites. The room was super clean, large and well equipped and had the best bathroom I saw in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was prepared by his wife and tested delicious. The location is fantastic and Lion Rock is only a 10 minutes walk away. Chaminda also has a Tuk Tuk and will bring or fetch you from anywhere at a very reasonable rate. Thanks again for the wonderful stay, can definitely recommend the Homestead to anyone.

Lovely hosts, they helped organise transportation for us to and from Pidurangala rock for sunrise as well as a car from their home stay to our next location, Kandy. Our safari was also suggested and arranged for us by our hosts. The little things go a long way. We arrived in a downpour and our hosts very kindly met us both by the cars with umbrellas whilst they helped us with our bags. Breakfast was delicious, too and we were enjoyed having dinner with the hosts on the first evening we arrived. When staying at Yashi’s place, you must visit the Lady Cafe at the end of the road - this was a great recommendation by the host and the best food we had throughout our whole trip in Sri Lanka. The room was large and clean. The gardens surrounding Yashi’s place were beautiful - we especially enjoyed seeing the peacocks in the trees as we ate our meals!
