Beautiful spot! Very quiet, clean, lovely room and bathroom. Beautiful garden. Very good food, staff super friendly. You can lend a bicycle to get to the wonderful beach. Downstairs room have airconditioning, my room on the first floor didn't so it was pretty hot. The owner told me they will put in airco in all the rooms.

Our stay in Luna laguna has been one of the biggest highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. The hotel is near the lagoon in a very well maintained garden. What we loved the most: - The place. everything in this hotel is breathtaking. The swimming pool, the rooms, the garden have a charm that make it so special. - The food. A special huge thanks to the talented chef that offered us the best food we had in Sri Lanka. You deserve a big reward for your job. - The people. People working in the hotel are really really good heart people and do their best to make your stay as confortable as possible. A special thanks to django This stay was special for us and you truly contributed to it. I cannot recommend enough Luna laguna for your stay in Kalpitiya. Special advise: Kalpitiya is a very small town with not much to see but the lagoon is breathtaking for any water sport, for sure the best time to start or practice kite, wingfoil, sailboard

We had a great stay as a family with Meryl. The homestay is in a relaxed setting a block from the beach. The rooms are beautifully clean with great little sitting areas outside and a hammock hanging from the trees. We ate great rice and curry every lunch from their restaurant. The highlight however was the kitesurfing lessons from Meryl- he is a fantastic teacher and took us from beginners to being able to be pulled along / standing up! His teaching method is great, he is incredibly patient - and I would recommend him without hesitation - we will be back!!

We were amazed by unique building and stylish pool with slide. Meals are very delicious and room were cleaned nicely. Staff was friendly and helpful with all the things. I recommend this Hotel and we would like to come back again in future for sure.

Everything was amazing. The hosts are really caring people and kindly hearted. More than just staying in a place I felt that I was at home and with family. The place is super quite and surrounded by nature. There are many birds around and the sounds of the frogs at night after a rainy afternoon is wonderful. There is also a nice area for meditation and yoga if is your thing. The room was very clean and confortable and also chilly during the hot afternoon. The common area/dining place is perfect for chilling and enjoying the meals as well, which are super tasty and full of Sri Lankan tastes. There are small shops around where you can get some snacks, fruits, paratha and others.

Sun Wind Beach Kite Resort is a place with an incredibly positive vibe. Spending a few weeks with Susantha's family is an experience in itself. Delicious homemade dinners prepared by his mom, a always-smiling dad, and Susantha with his unique outlook on life. More importantly, when it comes to learning how to kite surf, I couldn't have found a better place. Susantha is a passionate person dedicated to ensuring his team teaches you how to ride a kite and have fun doing it. They wouldn't let me give up when I was feeling overwhelmed, and eventually, I started riding the board with the kite. Huge thanks to the entire team: Susantha, Chamindha, Denniske and other friends for great adventure and helping me fulfill my dream😊😊

    This place is a wonderful haven - quiet, peaceful, great staff, delicious food, comfortable beds, bikes you can borrow (for free) for an easy ride to the lagoon to watch the kite surfers or try it yourself...We stayed for three nights and I wish we could have stayed far longer. It was such a nice, restful time. We especially LOVED the bathrooms - basically like an outdoor shower but with total privacy! Plus it's only a 10-minute walk from the main road up the peninsula, with regular public bus service, so it's very easy to get there.
