I liked every single bit of it! The place is so cozy, facilites are brand new, the owners are SUPER nice, welcoming and friendly. And they make the best breakfast ever! Fresh ingredients, abundant, worth every euro paid (not included in the room price) . The little town where the property is located is quiet and lovely, but there’s aldo couple of restaurants around. In terms of location, it’s 22 minutes away from downtown Groningen by car, but there’s also a bus back and forth to the city which is great if you don’t want to rent a car. We used a parking service to leave the car parked literally 20 mts away from the main street in town , and paid € 11 for the whole day. Marc and his wife have made our stay super easy and made us feel like being home, except that the bed is soooo much better than ours 😂😂😂 . Super comfy and big! Our room had a spacious shower , great temperature and pressure, and also had a little pantry , including electric kettle and complimentary tea/coffee/cream/cookies pack. We loved staying here and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting or working. Thank you ! We’ll be back soon ♥️

Very nice holiday, had a great time and were very relaxed. It was unforgettable. 🥳🥳🥳🍷🍇🍽️ Warm welcome, wonderful and cozy wellness complex. Everything was perfect, the owner is very nice and helpful. It's a wonderful apartment, a real one bed and breakfast not like the others that are all renewed from companies and they look like hotels. In my room 2 comfortable beds, 2 couches and a lot of books. I felt like home, relaxed. the kitchen awesome. It's a pity i couldn't enjoy the patio because of the snow. Over the top

Classic, old fashioned (in a nice way) pension style hotel. The owner was really friendly and very helpful. Room was larger than we expected and everything worked. Very central to everything and only a short walk to the train station.😊😊😊

I really enjoyed my stay at the Smaakvol Slochteren, I will certainly stay here again during my next visit to Groningen! Comfortable bed, nice room, excellent breakfast and I could even sit and relax in the garden. Ellen was so attentive and helpful in giving tips and suggestions, making the stay so nice! I stayed here for four nights and during one of the days they offered me to use one of the bicycles so I could explore the area by bike and enjoy the countryside of Groningen during a nice sunny day. Also the tip regarding a local garden center was excellent. Big thanks!
