Perfect location on heights near taranaki, overlooking a small valley. Close to many attractive spots, such as mangorei trails, Pukeiti garden. There is a nice bath tub on the decker, from which you can see the valley while taking bath. The lodge is well designed with open access to outdoors and with privacy. The facilities are new and clean. Breakfast is Ok.

The location is ideal to go to the beach and walk along the Coastal Walkway. Jenny was lovely and helpful and I had plenty of choice for breakfast.

All good food . Location was ideal for us There was some light traffic noise but with the double glazed windows closed it was easy to get a good night's sleep. Perfect hosts.

Host was very welcoming and friendly. Guests have their own space at the back of a beautiful house. Room was very comfortable and well-appointed with a private bathroom and common area for guests including an exterior terrace. Rooms have direct access to the exterior, from side of the house, clever set-up. I appreciated the continental breakfast. Best accommodation of this type I have stayed in.

Overall the place was very clean. Breakfast provided was fresh and tasty with homemade bread and eggs from their chickens. The owner Brad was very friendly and shared travel tips and history of some of the sights in New Plymouth. Bed came with an electric blanket which made it very comfortable.
